Alex has deep roots in the Richmond community, having lived in the Fan, Oregon Hill, Jackson Ward, Carver, and Petersburg, instilling a passion for Richmond and Petersburg’s unique architecture and unique people. Alex came to love this community during her time at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where she received her Bachelors in Political Science. In 2022, Alex received her Masters in Higher Education Administration/Student Affairs from Syracuse University. After working at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts as the Fraternity and Sorority Life coordinator, she and her husband, Mat Oswald, an Infantry Captain in the Army and author of Richmond Architectura, decided to move back down to Richmond and spend the rest of their lives here.

Alex’s professional experience has always centered around problem-solving, listening, advocacy, and service. In Richmond’s Real Estate market, Alex has structured systems and processes to help clients follow the process of buying and selling from steps A to Z with clarity. She works hard to ensure her clients’ unique needs and wishes are met and to help her clients find the perfect home when buying and to help strategically list their properties when selling.

Outside of real estate, Alex is fully invested in preserving and revitalizing the region and spends her time with the Richmond and Petersburg communities as a member of the Junior Board of Historic Richmond, the Main Street Petersburg Promotions Committee, and a twice-weekly volunteer at Little Hands RVA. At home, Alex develops seasonal garden projects, knitting projects, explores new film stocks and rock hounds on weekend hiking trips. A portion of her earnings in each transaction is donated to Historic Richmond and Little Hands RVA to further make an impact on the community.
